What inspired you to launch your own business?

What inspired me to launch was my own business were quite a few things however two that mainly stand out for me. 1- coming from a corporate culture was amazing as it taught me so much, however being able to create a culture of my own that I know would excel my skills and passion was a main reason. 2- Thinking in the future and how I could create a business that would allow flexibility to be with my kids once I had them was the second driving force.

What keeps you passionate about weddings?

Gratitude! Thankful that I get to work with Love and with such joyous moments. I get the honor of being part of such a priceless and important moment in my couples and their families lives.

"I can’t say enough positive things about Melissa and her entire team. My husband and I live in New York and had our wedding at Vizcaya in Miami in January 2020. In addition to our wedding, her team did our florals (so insanely beautiful) and planned our three hotel events - rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks event with all of our guests, and after-party. Being out of town was a concern of mine that ultimately didn’t matter given the support I had from Melissa and her team. Melissa and her team were with us from 8 am to 2 am, handling every detail for us, our wedding party, and our families. Their seamless ability to handle last-minute changes alleviated stress and pressure from us and our loved ones (rain occurred right before the ceremony AND extra liquor storage at the end of the wedding). Melissa handled it all so we could enjoy our day and everything went seamlessly. Our wedding was perfect, and it couldn’t have been that way without the Luxurious Events team.
