I attended a large church and I always enjoyed setting up for our various themed events. I especially loved setting up for weddings. As a novice, I came up with a checklist for a co-worker who was getting married so that she didn't forget anything! I picked up a college catalog one day and saw Wedding Consulting as one of the classes. At that time, I had no idea wedding planning could be a career. I took those classes along with another set of classes at another college. I eventually earned my certification from the American Academy of Wedding Professionals. Wedding & Event Planning is truly my passion! I love to see my brides & grooms so happy at the end of the night and thanking me because their day was wonderful and stress-free!
Weddings used to be what I called "cookie-cutter" weddings. No longer. I love the uniqueness of each wedding and how the bride's and groom's personalities shine through the planning process. There's nothing more rewarding than taking the stress of the planning process and the wedding day off the couple so that they can truly enjoy their engagement and their BIG DAY.
