What inspired you to launch your own business?

Although I planned my wedding, it did not dawn on me at that time that I would become a wedding and event planner. After marrying my husband I started planning small gatherings mostly during the holidays, and somewhere along the way, my mother thought I would be the perfect person to plan our family reunions and so I did. During the time of planning small gathers and family reunions, I worked at Regions Mortgage as a Flood Specialist in their Escrow department, one of my colleagues was planning her wedding and asked if I could assist her with find vendors since I was always planning something. After she booked each event professional that I shared with her the light bulb went off and I decided that I might want to plan weddings. I did not want to just jump into the deepwater. I wanted to make sure that this was something that I wanted to do, so before beginning my journey into the wedding planner world I job shadow another planner for 1 year. After job shadowing that planner for a year not only was I ready to become a planner, but I knew that wedding planning was the career for me.

What keeps you passionate about weddings?

Although I love the looks my clients have when they see their room revealed to them before the guest enter, what keeps me passionate about weddings is that I know that I have helped someone solve a problem or reach the final result they desired.
