My mother, Josephine Anderson Robinson, was the person that inspired me to launch my own business. As a young girl growing up, I often saw her decorate for parties and our home. She created wonderful masterpieces and I wanted to do the same someday.
The thing that keeps me passionate about weddings is to watch couples vision come to fruition and seeing the joy expressed in the moment and years to come.
"When I was asked to consider Miss Velma Whitby as my Event Planner, I prayed about it and asked God for his blessing and guidance. And I have never regretted it. During the time coming up to my wedding, I had the pleasure of working with Miss Velma Whitby as my Event Planner and she did an awesome job. Even today when I think or talk about my wedding, it seems like a fairytale. Throughout the process, we worked with Miss Whitby to plan what we knew would be our perfect wedding day. She attended to every detail of the ceremony. She was always prompt in her response to our inquiries. She gave us checklists to keep us on task, gave very good recommendations for vendors, and a truly amazing job of setting up the ceremony – from the flowers that were immaculate and beautifully arranged to the reception, food, music, program, seating arrangement were all carried out timely and sequentially. As unusual and rare as that is, we were truly blessed and prayerful that everyone would work in sync. Family members and friends still rave about the beautiful ceremony and how the actual wedding vows were so intense that it was heartfelt by every married couple there as if they were repeating their vows. The food was “absolutely delicious!” Miss Whitby went above and beyond even doing things that “we did not even have money to pay for”. “We couldn’t have been happier with our special day!” And we owe it all to Miss Whitby, her experience and expertise. She is committed, accountable has a beautiful spirit and her professionalism will make your wedding day as stress-free as that day can be." - Vernessa and Chester Brown
