What inspired you to launch your own business?
One of my best friend's wedding planners never showed up on her wedding day. Instead of being a bridesmaid that day, my husband and I , coordinated and ran her entire wedding day on a whim. Before this, I had never truly felt a passion like that towards a career. The whole 5 hour drive home, I talked my husbands ear off of the pro's and con's of me giving up Law School to pursue this new passion. The next day, I reached out to local wedding planners until one finally agreed to give me an interview. I was so excited. After the interview, she e-mailed me, turning me down for a more experienced candidate. I got back to my e-mails and kept looking for someone to give me a chance. A florist / wedding planning team brought me on to learn with them and within just a few months , hired me as a coordinator for the company. After a few years, I had outgrown the position available to me and took a chance to start my own company. 3 years later , here we are!
What keeps you passionate about weddings?
My couples keep me passionate about weddings. I know that sounds cheesy but it's so true. Each couple is so unique. They each love differently & have their own set of obstacles to face throughout the planning process. Every day is something different and it keeps us on our toes. My team also helps keep the momentum going. I wouldn't be able to do nearly as much without them. They work so hard to build this vision & its hard not to get inspired from them!
