What inspired you to launch your own business?
My daughter! With a background in education, I wanted to be able to do something as a career that would give me more creativity and flexibility with my schedule in order to stay home with my daughter. Her name is Genesis Joyce, which means "the creation of joy". Because my daughter was the inspiration behind launching my business, it only made sense that her name be a part of my business name, Creating Joyful Moments.
What keeps you passionate about weddings?
Easy - the joy I see between couples! For every wedding, there are approximately 5,000 details, so planning a wedding can be quite the task (which is why you hire a wedding planner). However, I take pride in my relationships with my couples, so when their wedding day is finally here and I get to see everything come together so beautifully, it only reminds me why I do what I do. Marriage is such a beautiful covenant, and to see the joy and excitement on my couples' faces throughout their wedding day makes me excited for what the future holds, both for them as a married couple and for me and my future couples.
